Do Dental Implants Hurt?

Dental Implants are a surgical procedure performed by our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. –Name–, and require IV sedation.  Because of this, many patients may feel slight discomfort.  However, with Dr. –Name–’s experience, and the advances in surgical and implant technology, most implant patients report little to no pain after the procedure is completed, and return to normal routines within days.  In some cases, our patients are able to return to work the same day.

Although all surgery brings with it potential risks of pain, because jaw bones have a low number of nerve-endings, pain from the implant procedure is minimal, and in most cases, over the counter pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication are all that is needed.

Dr. –Name–, who is internationally known as an expert in Implant Dentistry, uses only the most advanced procedures and materials, and because of his extensive hands-on experience, skill set, and knowledge, can actually minimize the risk of pain even more..
